Every estate sale has its own flavor. There are typically one or two genres of collectibles along with the standard handfuls of vintage clothing and furniture. But this one really and truly had it all!
Our last estate sale, the estate of Grace Schroeder had the basics in vintage, but also had some amazing artwork, antique housing fixtures, and some spectacular personal items from the original owner.
Thought I’d share a few of my favorites from this sale, just for fun.
These Seatmore chairs, built to literally, “seat more” people, were simply stunning. I would love to be able to see them in their new home.
Nowadays, people watch television, play sports or surf the internet in their spare time. Seeing these handcrafted wires trees reminded me of a time when people used their creativity simply to unwind.
Grace Schroeder painted the Austin skyline several times, but I just loved this hand painted purse.
Modern plumbing has certainly given use more comfort, but the hot and cold faucets are so priceless in their simplicity. Loved all the antique fixtures at this estate sale!
There were so many more unique and unforgettable treasures at this estate sale last weekend. What were some of the treasures you took home?
Next up, another sale in a few weeks, the vintage is out-of-this-world! Stay tuned!!!
You all are on my “bucket list”! I haven’t been able to make a sale yet, because of distance and other commitments, but I have enjoyed looking at all your goodies. Maybe 2013 will be the year!
Thanks! Hope to see you soon. Next sale coming up this month!
Lucite earrings, an incredible black leather and leopard purse, and a bunch of beautiful scarves, including Vera! Best sale I’ve been to – can’t wait for the next one!
