Folks, here at Amber Ostrich, we are about to take on the impossible and bring you two sales in one weekend. Less then half a mile apart.

That’s right. We are back down South in Onion Creek the weekend of May 25/26 (Friday and Saturday) and we will have two homes open, packed with generations of stuff, ready for the shopping.

First Sale: Around the World in 80 Years

Our first sale is dubbed “Around the World in 80 Years.” This couple traveled extensively and brought back plenty for y’all to pick through.

In this sale we’ve got U.S. Air Force military mementos, coins, 3 rifles, Longhorn memorabilia, and garden items. We’ve even got a peach tree out front. It’s not for sale, but if you buy something, we’ll give you a fresh peach! (While supplies last.)

Second Sale: Mid-Century Modern and Sci Fi

Nestled up against a golf course, this 4000 square-foot was home to a doctor who loved his sci fi.

We’ve got over 1000 vintage sci fi paperbacks; original photos from CIA buildings; mid-century modern furniture; kitsch; decor; vinyl LP’s ; and eight plus years of Analog sci fi magazine starting from 1973.

As the owner of Amber Ostrich Estate Sales, my life is a treasure hunt.

Every new sale, I find unique, valuable, beloved treasures. Every home we service has it’s own flavor and value. Every person we work with has items that they hate to part with, but feel secure that their items will be bought by folks who will love them as much as they did.

Nicknamed the Great White North Estate Sale, in Austin, Tx, we are hosting another fabulous sale this weekend!

Our living estate’s owner hailed from up north and was also a decorating queen.

This estate is shedding ski, snow, golf, and running gear, many of it new with tags. We’ve got Adidas, Nike, Polo, Brighton, Columbia and more. It’s perfect for the jet setter, weekend warrior, or northern expat.

Next up, in keeping with our winter themed sale, stock up for the holidays! If you are a decorating ghoul when it comes to the witchy holiday, you will love this stuff. Many department store decorations, including a six-foot tall Grim Reaper, life size ghosts, and hand-painted witches.

But it’s not just Halloween stuff. Come stuff your stocking with more life-sized decorations that will remind you of wintry days. We’ve got life-sized Santas, wreathes, hand-painted St. Nick, and snowmen.

Adding to our holiday theme, we’ve got vintage noisemakers and fun toys to make stocking stuffers. Or, just have fun this summer with these tin toys.

We have staged most of the vintage in one room, including the smalls table, with kitsch, class, and a dash of wink, wink, nod.

The holidays are coming early this year with Amber Ostrich’s upcoming estate sales in Austin, Tx.

Our next sale features holiday decorations and more! Nicknamed the Great White North Sale. This living estate’s owner is a decorating queen with her department store window decorations. Six foot tall Grim Reaper, Santas, snowmen, ghosts, hand-painted witches, bunnies, wreaths, and trees galore!

BOO!

That’s not all though. These New Englanders are shedding a ton of brand name (many new with tag items)  outdoor, skiing, running and golf gear. We’ve got Nike, Adidas, Puma, Columbia, pants, shirts, shoes, gloves, and over 50 coats/jackets. Great for the winter weekend warrior. Get yourself ready to hit the slopes or the triathlon  in style with these deals.

Stock up on some Christmas gifts by shopping our section of clothes and shoes that are new with tags or barely worn. Name brands include Ralph Lauren, Timberland, and Izod. Many leather purses and handbags by Coach, Brighton, Vittadini, Francesco Biasia and more.

Women’s shoes and boots sizes 7-7 1/2 including Marc Fisher and Italian favorites such as Enzo Angiolini, and Franco Sarto shoes and boots. These are in wonderful like-new condition.

Stocking stuffers can be found as well. We’ve got VINTAGE toys, noisemakers and a whole room dedicated to ‘vintage smalls’ (small items we display in glass display cases).

Oh, and this sale doesn’t stop there, you can stick with your “New Year’s Resolution” with the all the exercise equipment. We’ve got a weight set, pilates machine, and exercise bikes.

Our upper crust sale last weekend was a great success. We are excited to bring to you another classic Amber Ostrich Estate Sale in Travis Heights this weekend!

This one is interesting. We are combining two estates on one property. We’ll have two lines.

Traditional Stuff in the House

One line will start for the house items, which is traditional with a hint of vintage, a classic cook’s kitchen, cartoon comic books, vintage toys, vintage sewing patterns, tons & tons of vintage BUTTONS, furniture, lamps, vintage luggage, KitchenAid, glassware, cast iron, and more.

Mad Scientist Hosted in the Garage

The second sale will be staged in the garage where we host our Mad Scientist stuff!

The Mad Scientist guy had eclectic tastes… to say the least.

We’ve got over 600 vinyl records from past eras, vintage audio gear, speakers etc. Books,

microscopes, optical lenses, prisms, and a collection of items we frankly can’t quite figure out! And fyi collectors, none of this stuff was stored in a garage, that’s just where we’re setting up shop for the sale. This stuff is in great condition! It’s a collector’s dream sale.

Parking and Space

This sale is in a section of Travis Heights that is a bit of a tight squeeze for parking. we suggest either park nearby at Little Stacy Park or along the greenbelt on Eastside Dr. where you can cross over the little bridge and walk one block to the sale.

Hours

Sale starts Friday, 10-3. Saturday 9-3. And Sunday 10-2. We will have two lines. One for the house and one for the garage. As usual, cash and carry!

Our upper crust, Tarrytown Estate is gearing up this weekend. Friday March 23, Amber Ostrich Estate Sales in Austin, TX will open its doors to a three-day estate sale.

This sale is for the shopper who enjoys the finer things in life.

Coming from old Austin, this is a high-end sale with European/Americana/French and Asian accents. Our client for this living estate is the wife of a prominent U.S. District Judge.

As we’ve been going through the estate, we have unearthed some really great finds, including an autographed Robert F. Kennedy book, Longhorn kitsch, and even a few vintage fedoras! Just about everything in this estate, from clothing to artwork to furniture is high-end.

We’ve got a nice range of items from original artwork, to old tennis rackets,  vintage brand name couture, decorative decor, and many elegant items.

The 3-Day Tarrytown sale starts Friday March 23, with upper crust European/Americana accents, in addition to beautiful Asian decor and antiques, all very high end, coming from an “Old Austin” estate. Our client for this living estate is the wife of a former, prominent district judge.

The Next Estate Sale– Travis Heights

Coming up right on the heels of our regal Tarrytown sale, is our Travis Heights sale, starting on March 30.

This Travis Heights estate sale offers two sales in one house!

This sale offers has two very different touches. On the one hand, there is a traditional home with a splash of vintage, including comic books and a vintage toy collection. And in the garage, we’ll be running a second sale that we have dubbed our, “Mad Scientist” sale!

The Mad Scientist had eclectic taste. We offer over 600 vinyl records from past eras. books, microscopes, optical lenses, prisms, cameras, and a collection of items we frankly can’t quite figure out! And fyi collectors, none of this stuff was stored in a garage, that’s just where we’re setting up shop for the sale. This stuff is in pristine condition!
