Our next estate sale is the estate of Grace Schroeder, a local Austin artist for several decades.
Grace Schroeder, formerly Grace Arledge, was born in Central Texas and lived in Austin for 40 years. Due to her husband’s work, she traveled for much of her younger years. Her work was inspired by scenes in Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, the Gulf Coast and Central Texas.
This estate sale includes much of her original artwork and art supplies including canvases, frames, paint, pencils, and quality sketch paper.
The sale will also include cherished items from the home including vintage clothing and furniture, antique lighting fixtures, and vintage toys.
Our artist’s talent was obvious from the early years, as you can see by this sketches she did for Biology class in 1937.
Mrs. Schroeder’s later work will also be available. A varied artist, she painted landscapes, flowers, portraits and much more. Check out this beautiful Austin skyline.
Her art studio will be open during the sale.
This estate sale has so much variety. She was an artist, a creative, so she had broad taste in many things, clothing, accessories, jewelry, artwork, furniture and household furnishings.
She also supported the local arts by buying artwork from other local artists. There will be plenty to choose from at this sale if you love art!
